Mayfield Fence offers a one year labor warranty on our wood fences. The continuous changes in weather conditions are extremely harsh on your wood fence. Your maintenance plan must be geared to combat the problems caused by water absorption and water loss, mildew growth, and discoloration of wood due to the sun's ultraviolet rays. The degree to which your fence is affected by them depends on many factors. These factors include general climate conditions (such as normal precipitation, humidity, etc.) and location on your property (with regard to direct sun exposure, foliage coverage, etc.). We use pressure treated wood for constructing your fence. The chemicals used to treat the wood helps prevent termites and helps prolong decay. These chemicals are used in small quantities; hence they do not pose any threat to the soil of your garden or to your plants. We recommend using a quality solid colored stain to protect your fence. Even a treated fence will still experience natural defects (cupping/warping, checking, knot holes, twisting and splitting). Although there is no way to guarantee that wood will not expericence the natural defects, it has been found that a quality stain helps to greatly minimize the chances of this occuring. Failure to protect your wood fence with stain will result in the surface cells of the wood beginning to discolor to a weathered gray color. Consult with Mayfield Fence concerning the timing of stain application. Any product warranties are offered by the manufacturer.
Warranty and Care
Ornamental (Aluminum)
Mayfield Fence offers a one year limited labor warranty on our Ornamental Fences. The manufacturer offers a limited lifetime warranty on the product. Aluminum Fence is virtually maintenance free and will not rust like a metal or wrought iron fence.
Vinyl
Mayfield Fence offers a one year limited labor warranty on Vinyl Fences. The manufacturer offers a limited lifetime warranty on the product. Vinyl is another virtually maintenance free fence option. Pressure washing may need to be performed based on climate conditions.
Outdoor Structures
Mayfield Fence offers a one year limited labor warranty on all outdoor structures. All product warranties are offered by the manufacturer. Depending on the materials of your outdoor structure, care will be listed under product above.
